Juggling preschool hours is now a little easier for parents thanks to a new initiative operating at a number of school sites across Canberra.
The out of school hours care (OSHC) for preschoolers provides before and after school care to children in their preschool environment. The program aims to reduce pressure on families, create a seamless experience for children, and strengthen relationships between families, schools and OSHC providers.
We recently heard from staff, parents and children at Duffy preschool about their OSHC program.
OSHC providers who would like to offer this model can start by having a conversation with the schools their services operate at.
