The Education Directorate acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the ACT and the region upon which we live, learn and work. We acknowledge their continuing culture and the contributions they make to the life of this city and this region.

It’s National Reconciliation Week and this year’s theme is: More than a word. Reconciliation takes action.

Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians. As individuals, families, organisations and communities - we all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation. Find out what’s happening for Reconciliation Week at your local school and around Canberra. Learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and achievements, and explore how you can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Watch this short video about some of the ways the Education Directorate work to collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
