The students at Arawang Primary School have a very special relationship with the residents at Mirinjani Residents Home. Every Friday the year 6 class makes the 20 minute walk, or sometimes they take bikes and cycle, to the Mirinjani Retirement Village in Weston to visit the residents.

Parents and carers understand how fast children and young people absorb information and how important those first years are in their development, even without having read all the ample research that backs it up.

The school placed 1st of 33 schools in the ACT for the French and Japanese sections of the Education Perfect ACT Regional Championship, which took place from July 28 - August 4, 2020.
