What will be included in the school?

This modern, sustainable facility will be designed as an inclusive space to support all students. The design will include flexible spaces that will foster student development and learning.

Spaces for community hire and use will be provided and positioned for ease of access. Facilities will include a single gymnasium with basketball, netball, futsal and volleyball markings, covered hard court suitable for basketball and netball, kickabout spaces for ball sports and external play equipment.

This project will undoubtedly be a great addition to the community. It will provide a space for students to flourish and learn, and for everyone to enjoy.

What is the school’s official name?

During the early phases of the project, the school is referred to as its geographical location which is Strathnairn ECEC to year 6 School.

As the project progresses, an official naming process will commence.

When will the new school be open?

It is anticipated that the school will be ready to open for students for the 2026 school year. Dates are forecasted and subject to change.

Progress updates and timelines will be shared as the project evolves.

How can I be involved and where can I find out more?

The Education Directorate will engage with the community and stakeholders throughout the life of the project.

Updates will be provided through the website, local resident letter box drops and through the Education website and social channels.
