Under Set up for Success: An Early Childhood Strategy for the ACT, sixteen Community of Practice sites have been established between ACT public schools and early childhood education and care services:

The Community of Practice partnerships establish a process for continued engagement through scheduling a meeting each term, visiting each other’s site, sharing key documents, identifying opportunities for shared professional learning and collaborative planning. The aim of the Communities of Practice model is to grow partnerships in ways that respond to the community.
Each Community of Practice has a Community of Practice Plan as a tool to foster shared expertise, set goals and create new pathways for connection.
