Congratulations to all schools and students on their reading achievements in the 2023 Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge. More than 31,000 students across 74 schools were supported to expand their horizons through reading. These students come from public, non-government, and home and community schools across Canberra. The Reading Challenge, now in its 19th year, continues to be highly successful and much loved by ACT students.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr presented the winning schools with their awards at a ceremony at the National Library of Australia.
The ACT Education Directorate acknowledges the teachers, Challenge coordinators, librarians, principals and parents who supported the thousands of students to help make the event happen.
